We are deeply saddened to report a distressing discovery made in Diamond Hill, a suburb of Atwima Denkyemuoso in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region. On Saturday, January 27, 2023, an unidentified decomposed body of a man, believed to be in his mid-40s, was found in a bush.

The Assembly Member for Atwima Takyiman-Denkyemuoso Electoral Area, Hon. David Asare, disclosed in an interview that a renowned pathologist at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Dr. Sampane, conducted an examination which revealed that the deceased had allegedly been attacked with suspected sharp weapons, resulting in his untimely demise.

Dr. Sampane's assessment indicated that the assailants used a suspected machete in the fatal attack. Due to the advanced state of decomposition of the body, Dr. Sampane was summoned to the scene for a thorough examination.

Following consultations with the police, municipal environmental officer, and local chiefs, a decision was made to inter the body at the scene. This tragic incident adds a somber dimension to the enigma surrounding the deceased, whose identity remains unknown.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time. The authorities are working diligently to unravel the circumstances of this harrowing event and bring closure to this unsettling chapter. As more information becomes available, we will continue to provide updates on this developing situation.
