We are deeply saddened to report a tragic road traffic accident that occurred on the China Mall stretch of the Amasaman – Nsawam road on February 5. The accident involved a fuel tanker and a commercial minibus, commonly known as a Trotro.
According to reports, the fuel tanker collided with the Trotro vehicle, resulting in the tanker running over the minibus. Tragically, all passengers on board the Trotro are feared to have lost their lives in this devastating incident.
In a viral video that has surfaced, officials of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service can be seen assisting in the removal of the mangled minibus from the scene of the accident.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of those affected by this heartbreaking event. We urge all road users to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such tragedies in the future.
