The Teshie Chieftaincy dispute has taken a concerning turn with the apprehension of the alleged gang leader, Ashitey La, reportedly influenced by Nii Kwaobotswe and Gbetsoolo Nii Akomfrah. This development comes after the gang leader was found in possession of an unregistered firearm, leading to implications of potential connections to the chieftaincy dispute.

During questioning, the gang leader explicitly implicated Nii Kwaobotswe and Nii Akomfrah as the owners of the unregistered gun, shedding light on the gravity of the situation. Disturbingly, innocent individuals have reportedly fallen victim to wrongful arrests due to the alleged negligence of the gang leader influenced by Nii Kwaobotswe and Nii Akomfrah.

In light of these troubling developments, residents are urging Vice President Dr. Alhaji Bawumia to intervene by calling on the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, and the Greater Accra Regional Commander to address the unfolding issues. Concerns have been raised regarding the transparency of the legal process, with reports of documents being ordered from higher authorities within the Teshie District Command.

Furthermore, residents are calling on the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr. Henry Quartey, to refrain from intervening in the matter. This call reflects a strong desire for an impartial resolution and an independent investigation into the chieftaincy dispute without external influence.

As tensions continue to rise, the involvement of high-ranking officials becomes pivotal in ensuring justice and restoring peace in Teshie. It is imperative for the authorities to prioritize a fair and unbiased resolution in order to maintain the trust of the community in the justice system.

The situation in Teshie warrants careful attention and swift action from relevant authorities to address the complexities of the chieftaincy dispute and uphold the principles of justice.
