We are deeply saddened to report the untimely passing of the Deputy Volta North Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police(ACP), Antiri Nicolas Aletso. His lifeless body was discovered in a hotel room at Hohoe on Wednesday, prompting shock and grief among his colleagues and loved ones.
According to relatives of the deceased, repeated attempts to reach ACP Antiri Nicolas Aletso via phone proved futile, leading to concerns for his well-being. Subsequently, a complaint was lodged with the Regional Police Command, prompting an investigation into his whereabouts.
A team of police officers, led by ASP Simon Yevu, proceeded to Obama Hotel where ACP Antiri Nicolas Aletso had been lodging. Tragically, he was found deceased in his room, with the door left unlocked. The authorities swiftly transported his body to the Hohoe Municipal Hospital, where his passing was confirmed.
The deceased has since been transferred to the Police Hospital Mortuary in Accra, pending an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
