We are deeply concerned about the recent incident involving students from Mpraeso Senior High School in the Kwahu South Municipality. The Kwahu Nkwatia Divisional Police Command is currently engaged in an active search for three male students who are alleged to have been involved in the rape of a female student on Sunday, October 13.

It has been reported that a total of eight students were involved in this disturbing incident. At present, the police have detained five suspects and are making ongoing efforts to apprehend the remaining three who are currently at large.

We are relieved to report that the victim has received medical treatment, has been discharged from the hospital, and is currently undergoing counseling. Our thoughts are with her during this difficult time.

We commend the school's management for their assurance of full support and cooperation with the police in their investigation. It is reassuring to know that the situation is under control and that all necessary measures are being taken to address this matter.

As this situation continues to unfold, we urge for privacy and respect for all individuals involved. We trust that the authorities will conduct a thorough investigation and that justice will be served.

It is essential that we, as a community, come together to support and protect our students, and to ensure that such incidents are not tolerated. We encourage anyone with information related to this incident to come forward and assist the authorities in their efforts.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely and provide any updates as they become available. Our hope is for a swift resolution and for the well-being of all those affected.
