We are deeply disturbed by the recent violent attack on Kwabena Amankwaa, a 50-year-old tipper truck driver in the Bono region. The assailant, armed with a cutlass, pursued and eventually caught up with Amankwaa, inflicting severe injuries including the loss of a thumb, deep cuts to the head, and other parts of his body. The motive behind this brutal assault remains unclear, adding a layer of mystery to the incident.

According to reports, the assailant confronted Amankwaa after he alighted from a 'pragya' at a junction. Despite being threatened and warned to stop, Amankwaa continued on his way until he was overtaken by the armed attacker. As a result of the attack, Amankwaa is currently hospitalized, raising questions about the sudden and brutal nature of the assault in the Bono region.

Rainbow Radio’s Nana Kwame provided detailed information about the incident, shedding light on the harrowing ordeal that Amankwaa endured. The severity of his injuries is truly concerning, and we hope for his swift and full recovery.

This incident serves as a reminder of the need for increased security and safety measures in our communities. Acts of violence such as this have no place in society, and it is crucial that authorities take swift action to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to justice.

Our thoughts are with Kwabena Amankwaa and his loved ones during this difficult time. We urge anyone with information about the attack to come forward and assist the authorities in their investigation. Let us stand together in condemning such senseless acts of violence and work towards creating safer environments for all.
