The ongoing trial of Daniel Asiedu, also known as Sexy Don Don, for the murder of the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu, has taken a significant turn with the testimony of the Investigator in the case, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Augustine Nkrumah.

ASP Nkrumah, who led the investigation, described the accused as "a terrible guy" and stated that their findings pointed to Daniel Asiedu as the perpetrator of the crime. Despite Asiedu's plea of not guilty, the Investigator's testimony highlighted compelling evidence linking him to the murder.

During cross-examination, defense lawyers attempted to challenge ASP Nkrumah's assertion, questioning the physical capability of the accused to overpower the deceased. However, the Investigator stood by his assessment of Asiedu as "capable of killing" the late MP.

Furthermore, ASP Nkrumah detailed key pieces of evidence, including a blood-soaked T-shirt and a knife with blood stains, which were linked to the accused. The testimony provided a clear narrative of events leading up to the tragic incident.

In a surprising twist, defense counsel suggested that the real perpetrators were three individuals impersonating police officers. However, ASP Nkrumah refuted this claim, emphasizing that the evidence pointed to Daniel Asiedu as the primary suspect.

The trial, led by Principal State Attorney Mrs. Sefakor Batse, has brought to light crucial details surrounding the case. The prosecution's witness testimony has shed light on the events that transpired on that fateful day.

As the trial continues, it is evident that the proceedings have unveiled compelling evidence against the accused. The thorough investigation led by ASP Nkrumah has provided crucial insights into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu.

The case has been adjourned to February 26, 2024, as Justice Lydia Osei Marfo presides over this high-profile trial. The testimony presented thus far has underscored the gravity of the charges against Daniel Asiedu and has set the stage for further developments in this complex legal matter.
