We are deeply saddened to report a tragic incident that occurred on Thursday morning, resulting in the loss of a nurse from the Bimbilla Hospital. The nurse, who was in his 40s, tragically lost his life after being struck by a Kia Rhino.

According to eyewitnesses, the nurse was returning from his night shift when the unfortunate incident took place. It was reported that a Benz bus, traveling in the wrong direction, forced the Kia Rhino to swerve, ultimately leading to the fatal accident.

Abdulai Yaqoub, the Nanumba North Municipal Chief Executive, has confirmed the details of the incident to Citi News. The police have also taken action by transporting the nurse's body to the hospital morgue and apprehending the drivers involved. They are currently in police custody.

However, there seems to be a conflicting statement from the driver of the Benz bus, who refuted the incident and claimed to have already passed the scene before the collision occurred.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of the nurse during this difficult time. It is a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and the devastating consequences that can result from negligence on the roads. We urge all drivers to adhere to traffic regulations and prioritize the safety of themselves and others at all times.
