The police at Ejura in the Ashanti region have launched an investigation into the tragic death of a 56-year-old worker at the Ejura government hospital. The body of the deceased, identified as Sarfo Boakye, was found hanging from a mango tree on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Sarfo Boakye, a father of three and a member of a royal family in Ejura, was discovered by his younger brothers while they were hunting for mangoes in the bush. The Assembly member for the Ahenboboano electoral area, Samuel Kojo Kwa-Sam, confirmed that the deceased's decomposing body has been buried and that the police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.

Upon receiving reports of the incident, local leaders and authorities swiftly responded, with efforts coordinated by the chief of the area, Nana Yeboah Kodieh. The police, along with officials from NADMO and environmental health, were mobilized to the scene to carry out necessary procedures.

It was through the deceased's phone that his family was identified, and arrangements were made for his prompt burial. The community has been left in shock by this tragic event, and the authorities are committed to uncovering the truth behind this untimely loss.

As the investigation unfolds, our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Sarfo Boakye during this difficult time. We await the findings of the police investigation and hope for clarity and closure for all those affected by this distressing incident.
