We are deeply saddened to report a tragic incident that occurred on the Assin Adadientam-Andoe road, resulting in the loss of a 37-year-old teacher from Assin Abodweseso D/A Primary School. The unfortunate collision between two motorcycles took place at approximately 7 PM on Monday, January 29, 2024, claiming the life of the teacher, Isaac Arthur. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire community during this difficult time.

Following the collision, the Assin South District Police Command, led by ASP Robert Kyeremeh, swiftly responded to the scene and promptly transported the injured individuals to St. Francis Xavier Hospital for urgent medical care. Tragically, despite efforts to save his life, Isaac Arthur was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased teacher as they come to terms with this devastating loss.

The collision also resulted in injuries to a pillion rider and an Okada rider, who are currently receiving treatment at St. Francis Xavier Hospital for injuries to their head, jaw, and legs. The road safety authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, and we urge all road users to prioritize safety and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.

Eyewitnesses at the scene recounted that the collision occurred when Isaac Arthur and a pillion rider were traveling from Assin Andoe to Assin Adadientam, while an Okada rider approached from the opposite direction, leading to a devastating head-on collision. The impact of the collision was severe, highlighting the importance of vigilance and caution while using the road.

This heartbreaking incident has also raised concerns about the well-being of the deceased teacher's family, particularly his wife and four children, as he was the sole breadwinner. Our community must come together to support and assist the family during this challenging period.

As we mourn the loss of Isaac Arthur, let us also reflect on the importance of road safety and responsible driving. Our deepest condolences go out to all those affected by this tragedy, and we hope for a speedy recovery for the injured individuals.
