We regret to report a tragic and disturbing discovery near the Otorkporlu Bridge, off the Odumase-Asesewa highway in the Eastern Region. An unidentified woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found deceased and partially unclothed by members of the Otorkporlu community.
The grim nature of this discovery is compounded by the fact that the victim had clearly been subjected to heinous acts, including the severing of her tongue and private parts. This is a deeply distressing and concerning development.
The Oterkpolu Police have taken swift action, transporting the body to the Eastern Regional Hospital morgue for preservation, identification, and autopsy. It is our hope that through these measures, the victim will be identified and those responsible for this appalling crime will be brought to justice.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the loved ones of the deceased during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with them as we await further developments in this tragic case.
