According to neighbors, the suspect and the deceased had been engaged in ongoing quarrels, with the latest altercation occurring on Thursday, April 04, 2024, ultimately leading to the fatal stabbing.
The suspect is currently in police custody, cooperating with the investigation, while the crime scene is being meticulously examined. Hudu Mumuni Yahaya, representing the NDC in the Asante Mampong Constituency, has confirmed the incident and offered condolences, acknowledging the deceased's contributions to the party's local activities.
Osei Akoto leaves behind three children, and his body has been transported to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
