We are deeply saddened to report on the tragic discovery of the lifeless body of three-year-old Taslima Labaran in Dagombaline, within the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The young girl's body was found without her tongue after she had been missing for three days.

The distressing find occurred when children playing football in the area stumbled upon the body while retrieving their ball from a building housing police officers. It is important to note that the building is currently undergoing renovation following a recent fire, and the body was found on the top floor.

Taslima Labaran, a twin, had been missing since Thursday, despite her mother's relentless efforts, including lodging an official complaint with the police. Rukaya Muntari, the grieving mother, has shared her last moments with her missing daughter and expressed her frustration over the unsuccessful search efforts.

In response to this devastating event, police officers, supported by community members, have taken the necessary steps to transport the body to the morgue as part of their investigation. This incident has understandably instilled fear in the community, leading residents to gather at the scene to witness the tragic discovery.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of Taslima Labaran during this incredibly difficult time. We hope that the authorities are able to conduct a thorough investigation and bring those responsible for this heinous act to justice.
