We are faced with a bizarre and troubling incident that occurred at the Gomoa Dominase onion market in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region. A 23-year-old welder, Hamzah Sadat, has been remanded into police custody by the Awutu Bereku District Court after falsely accusing an innocent individual of stealing his manhood.

The accused, Issifu Osumanu, was subjected to a near-lynching by some traders at the market after Hamzah raised an alarm over his missing penis. This led to a swift intervention by personnel from the Gomoa Dominase District Police Command to rescue Issifu from further harm.

Following the incident, both Issifu and Hamzah were taken to Gomoa Potsin Polyclinic for medical attention. However, medical officers confirmed that Issifu's manhood was intact after thorough examination.

The case is scheduled to reappear before the court on 25th April 2025, as the legal process unfolds.

In light of this troubling event, it is essential for all Ghanaians to exercise vigilance. The Asafohen of Odupong Ofaakor, Issaka Mustapha, also known as Asafoakye Shark Onipa Nka, has urged the public to be cautious, as this incident may signal a new tactic employed by criminals to perpetrate robbery.

This unusual and concerning situation serves as a reminder for individuals to approach such claims with caution and for authorities to thoroughly investigate allegations before taking action. We hope that justice will prevail in this case and that lessons can be learned to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
