We have received reports indicating that the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South in the Ahafo region, Alhaji Collins Dauda, has been arrested by the police in connection with his alleged involvement in the disturbance that took place at a registration center in Kukuom, Asunafo South constituency, on Saturday, 11th May 2024.
According to sources familiar with the situation, it is believed that the lawmaker's vehicle was used by individuals who reportedly invaded the registration center and discharged firearms, resulting in serious injury to at least one individual. Eyewitnesses have claimed that the MP was present in the vehicle during the tumultuous events at the registration center.
At present, Mr. Dauda is said to be in police custody as investigations into the matter continue.
