We have recently received reports of a disturbing incident in Gomoa Ojobi, located in the Gomoa East District of the Central region. A 38-year-old man, identified as Kweku Asamoah, allegedly attempted to take the life of a prophetess through the use of gun violence.

The targeted individual, Prophetess Gabriella Ruth, is the founder of God’s Life Prayer Prophetic Ministry. According to her account, she had a revelatory experience on December 31, 2023, during which she prayed for the well-being of two children. However, this session took a dark turn when a spirit allegedly confessed to disturbing information regarding Kweku Asamoah's activities in Benin.

It is alleged that the prophetess disclosed to Kweku's wife that he had used their two sons for rituals in Benin, leading to a confrontation between Kweku and the prophetess. Subsequently, on a fateful day around 5:30 pm, Kweku arrived at the prophetess's residence armed with a single-barrel gun and proceeded to fire three shots in her direction. Fortunately, the prophetess managed to evade harm and escape unscathed.

The swift intervention of law enforcement led to the apprehension of Kweku Asamoah, who is currently in custody at the Gomoa Ojobi District Police Command. The firearm allegedly used in the attack has been confiscated as part of the ongoing investigation.

This harrowing incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers faced by individuals who carry out their spiritual duties. It also underscores the importance of effective law enforcement and security measures in ensuring the safety and well-being of all members of society.

As this situation continues to unfold, we extend our thoughts and support to Prophetess Gabriella Ruth and hope for a swift and just resolution to this distressing ordeal. We also urge for a thorough investigation into the matter to prevent such occurrences in the future and uphold the principles of justice and safety within our communities.
