We have received reports from the Ghana Police Service regarding a recent breakthrough in the investigation of a robbery incident that occurred in East Legon, Accra on 18th August, 2024.

Through a meticulously planned intelligence-led operation, the police have successfully apprehended three individuals believed to be connected to the aforementioned robbery. The suspects, identified as Isaac Brena Eshun, Peter Amuzu, and Ibrahim Mohammed, were captured in a series of well-coordinated police maneuvers carried out in Accra and Tamale between 21st and 24th August, 2024.

During the arrests, law enforcement officials recovered several items including two iPhones, a Mercedes-Benz C180, and three other vehicles suspected to have been acquired through illicit means.

Preliminary investigations have uncovered compelling evidence suggesting that the apprehended individuals are part of a larger criminal network engaged in the theft and illicit sale of vehicles across the country.

At present, all three suspects are in police custody and are actively cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

The diligent efforts of the Ghana Police Service have yielded significant progress in addressing criminal activities and upholding the rule of law. We commend the authorities for their unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the public.

As the investigation continues, we trust that further developments will lead to the dismantling of this criminal syndicate and bring about a sense of justice for the victims affected by these unlawful activities.
