We are deeply concerned to learn about the violent attack that took place at Oyarifa, a suburb of Accra, during the Homowo festival on September 7, 2024. The Ghana Police Service has taken swift action and arrested four suspects in connection with this disturbing incident.

The suspects, namely Latif Bako, Ebenezer Ewuzie, Stephen Owusu, and Ebenezer Adjei, are alleged to have been involved in an attack that resulted in injuries to three individuals. It is disheartening to hear that such violence occurred during what should have been a joyous celebration.

We are relieved to know that the victims, as well as suspect Ebenezer Adjei, who also sustained injuries, are currently receiving medical attention. Our thoughts are with them for a speedy recovery.

The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that they are diligently investigating the matter. Suspects Latif Bako, Stephen Owusu, and Ebenezer Ewuzie are currently in custody and are cooperating with the authorities. Furthermore, efforts are underway to apprehend the other individuals involved in this heinous act who are currently at large.

It is important for the community to come together and support the authorities in ensuring that those responsible for disturbing the peace are brought to justice. The Ghana Police Service has emphasized that anyone found to be disrupting the peace will be arrested and subjected to due process of the law.

We urge anyone with information related to this incident to come forward and assist the police in their investigation. It is only through collective effort that we can create a safe and peaceful environment for all.

Let us stand together in condemning such acts of violence and work towards fostering a community where everyone can feel secure. Our thoughts remain with the victims, and we hope for their full and speedy recovery.

Stay tuned for further updates as the investigation progresses.
