In the wake of the tragic events that unfolded in the Binduri district on Monday morning, the District Chief Executive, Ayinga Abagre Yakubu, has shed light on the challenges of attributing the killings to the ongoing conflict in Bawku.
The brutal attack, which resulted in the loss of five lives, occurred as a group of traders was en route from Bawku to a market in Binduri. Mr. Yakubu, speaking in an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Eyewitness News on Citi FM, emphasized the complexity of establishing a direct link between the incident and the prolonged conflict in Bawku. He stressed the need for a thorough investigation to unravel the facts surrounding the case.

He explained that some of the victims sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical attention, while others have been transferred to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital for further treatment.
