Bolgatanga Technical University condemns the tragic killing of the Deputy Registrar

We are deeply saddened by the tragic and senseless killing of Mr. Alhassan Azumah, the Deputy Registrar and Director of Public Affairs at Bolgatanga Technical University. The entire university community is in a state of shock and sorrow following this devastating incident.



On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Osei Boamah, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university, expressed profound grief in a statement. He emphasized the profound pain felt by the management, staff, and students of the university as a result of this appalling act.


The management of Bolgatanga Technical University unequivocally condemns the brutal murder of Mr. Azumah and is cooperating fully with the investigation being conducted by the Upper East Regional Crime Office. We assure everyone that the university is safe for all activities, and this isolated incident does not impact our operations.


We urge our staff, students, and the public to remain calm and allow the authorities to carry out a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.


Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of Mr. Azumah during this difficult time. The university community stands in solidarity as we mourn the loss of a dedicated and esteemed member of our institution.


We hope that justice will prevail, and such a tragic event will never be repeated.
