We are deeply concerned to report on a recent case of property destruction in Greater Accra. Four individuals have been charged by the police in connection with the demolition of a 7-bedroom property belonging to Paul Sackey, located at Otano, Adjiriganor.

The property had been the subject of litigation, with individuals claiming to represent the Akwraboye Doku family asserting ownership. Michael Adjei, who claimed to be the secretary to the Akwraboye Doku Family, along with businesswoman Sarah Agyaa Owusu-Ansah, orchestrated the demolition under the guise of enforcing a judgment.

However, a member of the Paul Sackey family, Yaa Serwah Dumashie, lodged a complaint with the police, arguing that the land in question was not covered by the judgment. Subsequent police investigations confirmed that the judgment did not extend to Paul Sacky's land.

As a result, Michael Adjei, Sarah Agyaa Owusu-Ansah, and two others have been charged with trespassing, causing unlawful damage, and unlawful protection of land. The police conducted thorough investigations, obtaining certified copies of the judgment plan and engaging surveyors to confirm the boundaries of the disputed land.

The conclusion of the investigations revealed that the disputed land does not fall within the judgment plan of the Akwraboye Doku Family, affirming that it belongs to Paul Sacky.

This case serves as a reminder of the importance of due diligence and adherence to legal processes in property disputes. We commend the thoroughness of the police investigations and hope that justice will be served in this matter. It is crucial for all parties involved in property disputes to seek resolution through legal means and respect the rightful ownership of land.
