We are deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident that occurred in Ashaiman, leading to the untimely death of a 47-year-old male adult, Eric Baidoo. The Ghana Police Service has swiftly initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
According to reports, Eric Baidoo, a trader, was allegedly stabbed by an assailant who is currently at large, on Thursday 15th February 2024. The Police have taken the necessary steps to preserve the body of the deceased at the Police Hospital morgue for further examination through an autopsy.
In response to this distressing situation, the Tema Regional Police Commander, on 16th February 2024, personally led a police delegation to offer condolences and support to the family of the deceased. The authorities have reassured the family of their commitment to conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
Furthermore, it is imperative to note that an intelligence-led operation is already in progress with the aim of bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice. The Ghana Police Service is dedicated to ensuring that those responsible for this heinous act are apprehended and face the full consequences of their actions.
