We regret to inform you that popular comedian, Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, widely known as Funny Face, has been remanded into police custody for a period of two weeks by the Ofaakor Circuit Court in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region.

The court's decision to remand Funny Face comes in the wake of charges leveled against him for drunk driving and careless driving, following an incident where he reportedly rammed his vehicle into a group of people at Kasoa Kakraba, resulting in injuries to five individuals.

This unfortunate event follows closely on the heels of another incident involving the actor in Kakraba, Kasoa, within the Central Region. As a result of the recent collision, one of the victims remains in a coma, while three others are currently undergoing treatment at the Winneba Trauma Centre.

In an interview with Adom News, Isaac Asare, the brother of one of the victims, shared the challenges they have faced in seeking medical care for his brother. Initially transferred to Ridge Hospital, he was unable to secure admission due to bed shortages. Subsequent attempts at the Police Hospital also proved futile. Ultimately, the victim was taken to the community hospital in Kakraba, with the family expressing hope for divine intervention to facilitate a transfer to a larger medical facility.

This distressing series of events serves as a sobering reminder of the potential consequences of reckless driving and the importance of exercising caution on the roads. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.

As the legal process unfolds and investigations continue, we urge all road users to prioritize safety and responsibility while behind the wheel. Let us collectively strive to prevent such tragic incidents from occurring in the future.
