We are pleased to announce that Mam Yandey Joof has been discharged by the Madina District Court in connection to the death of Benett Agyekum Adomah, also known as Kikibee. The decision to discharge Joof came following the advice of the Office of the Attorney General, as revealed during the court proceedings.

Joof, a hotelier and girlfriend of the deceased, as well as the owner of Kikibee Restaurant, expressed disbelief and wiped away tears upon hearing the court's decision. The presiding Magistrate, Susana Nyarkotey, cited the advice from the Attorney General dated February 8, 2024, as the basis for Joof's discharge, reassuring her that no fault had been found.

Currently on GHC200,000 bail, Joof was visibly emotional as she was escorted away by her relatives. The case stemmed from the unfortunate passing of Kikibee, who reportedly exhibited unusual behavior at Joof's apartment. Following an attempt to seek medical attention for him, Kikibee tragically passed away.

This development marks a significant moment in the legal proceedings surrounding this case. We will continue to monitor any further developments and provide updates as necessary.
