We are deeply saddened to report on a tragic incident that occurred in the Asabia Electoral Area of the Sunyani West district in the Bono Region. A young taxi driver, identified as Nana Yaw, was found deceased on a cassava farm with visible signs of physical trauma.

According to reports received during the Nyankonton Mu Nsem program on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, it is alleged that the driver, in his late 20s, may have been the victim of foul play at the hands of individuals who had hired his services. The driver, known to operate in Sunyani, was reportedly forced by passengers to change course upon reaching their initial destination, leading to a confrontation that resulted in the driver being assaulted and ultimately losing his life. His body was subsequently disposed of on the cassava farm.

The discovery of the deceased driver was made by a local farmer who promptly alerted the authorities. In response, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter and are urging the public to come forward with any pertinent information that could aid in apprehending those responsible for this heinous act.

Furthermore, the police have requested the community's assistance in locating the taxi involved in the incident. The vehicle is described as bearing registration number BA 839-22 and displaying the inscription ‘Not By Might’. Individuals who may have seen this taxi are encouraged to report any sightings to the nearest police station.

This tragic event has understandably instilled fear within the local residents, and our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time. We fervently hope for a swift and just resolution to this distressing situation.
