We have recently been made aware of a distressing situation involving the alleged missing corpse of a deceased individual at the Ashaiman Trinity Mortuary. The family of the deceased has come forward with grave concerns regarding the whereabouts of their loved one's body, which was reportedly deposited at the mortuary three months ago with the intention of holding a burial service on the 20th of April.

Regrettably, the family has encountered a deeply troubling obstacle as they have discovered that the body of their departed daughter is inexplicably missing from the mortuary. This distressing revelation has understandably led to the cancellation of the planned burial service, compounding the family's grief and anguish.

In response to this distressing situation, the Principal Elder of the deceased family, Matthew Kwame Animle, has voiced the family's intention to pursue legal action against the management of the Trinity Community Hospital if the body of their relative is not promptly located. This is a deeply distressing and concerning situation for the family, and it is entirely understandable that they are seeking answers and resolution through legal channels.

Following the family's report of the incident to the police, it is clear that emotions are running high, and the urgency of locating the missing body cannot be overstated. The family's resolve to pursue legal action underscores the gravity of this situation and the need for swift and transparent action to address their concerns.

It is deeply troubling that issues concerning the handling of corpses at mortuaries in Ghana have once again been brought to public attention. The mishandling or misplacement of deceased individuals' remains is a matter of utmost sensitivity and respect, and it is imperative that every effort is made to ensure the proper care and custody of those entrusted to mortuary facilities.

At this time, the administrators of the Trinity Community Hospital have yet to provide public comment on this distressing matter. It is our sincere hope that they are actively and diligently working to locate the missing body of Mary Opari Animley and provide the family with the answers and closure they so desperately seek.

In conclusion, we urge for a swift and thorough investigation into this deeply troubling incident, and we extend our heartfelt empathy and support to the family of Mary Opari Animley during this difficult and distressing time.
