We are deeply saddened to report on a disturbing incident that took place at the Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital. The family members of a 17-year-old boy, identified as Nana Adu, allegedly launched a vicious attack on health workers following the tragic death of the young man. It is reported that Nana Adu passed away after receiving what his family claims to be wrong medication at the hospital.

According to accounts of the incident, the family rushed Nana Adu to the hospital around 10:00 pm while he was unconscious, but unfortunately, he passed away within an hour of his arrival. The father of the deceased, Daniel Hebibor, has accused the hospital staff of medical negligence, specifically alleging that wrong medication was administered to his son.

In response to these allegations, Dr. Apetogbor Dzedegbe, the Medical Superintendent of Kasoa Mother and Children Hospital, has refuted claims of negligence. Dr. Dzedegbe stated that the medical team did everything in their power to try and save Nana Adu's life.

In light of this distressing situation, it is important to acknowledge the challenging circumstances faced by both the grieving family and the dedicated healthcare professionals involved. The loss of a young life is always a tragedy, and our thoughts are with Nana Adu's family during this difficult time.

Furthermore, it is crucial for all parties involved to allow the appropriate authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the events leading up to Nana Adu's passing. The Kasoa District Police Command has already taken action by arresting three individuals alleged to have assaulted doctors and nurses at the hospital.

As we await further developments in this case, we urge for calm and cooperation from all sides. It is our hope that the truth surrounding this unfortunate incident will be uncovered through a fair and transparent process. In the meantime, we extend our sympathies to the family and loved ones of Nana Adu.
