We have received reports of a disturbing incident at the IBM fuel station in Pakyi Number 2, located within the Amansie West district of the Ashanti Region. Allegedly, armed robbers targeted the station, causing significant disruption and distress.

Eyewitnesses have reported that the perpetrators forcibly entered the station's office, tampering with and disconnecting the CCTV system before absconding with the digital video recorder. Additionally, it has been stated that the individuals involved restrained five fuel attendants and a security guard, further exacerbating the situation.

The impact of this criminal act is compounded by the reported theft of one million cedis, underscoring the severity of the incident. In light of these events, Kwabena Tawiah, the Director of IBM fuel station, has emphasized the need for heightened police presence and vigilance through intensified patrol activities within the vicinity.

Such incidents not only pose a direct threat to the safety and well-being of individuals working at the station but also have broader implications for the community at large. It is imperative that swift and decisive measures are taken to address this issue and prevent similar occurrences in the future.

We urge law enforcement authorities to thoroughly investigate this matter and take proactive steps to enhance security measures in the area. Our thoughts are with the affected individuals, and we hope for a swift resolution to this distressing situation.
