We recently had the opportunity to speak with Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the ongoing ambulance case, regarding his allegations against Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame. In the interview with EIB Network Legal Affairs Correspondent, Mr. Jakpa made it clear that he is committed to addressing the matter through legal channels and sees no need for direct confrontation with the Attorney General.

Mr. Jakpa emphasized that all actions pertaining to the case will be handled through legal proceedings, stating, "There’s no need for face-to-face. We are doing everything in court. My lawyers will deal with it." He further emphasized the importance of evidence in the case, indicating that it is the key factor in the ongoing legal process.

Addressing public speculation about his motives for recording the conversation with the Attorney General, Mr. Jakpa dismissed such notions as mere opinions, stating, "That is their opinion." Despite the public attention and scrutiny, he remains focused on the legal proceedings, stating, "I’m focusing in court. That’s what I’m supposed to be doing."

Mr. Jakpa also acknowledged the significance of evidence in his case and expressed confidence in his legal strategy. When asked about concerns for his security, he appeared unfazed, stating, "I’m a gorilla in the jungle, so I’m not worried about the jungle business." Furthermore, he warned that any potential threats to approach him professionally would be futile, suggesting that any amateur attempts would not succeed.

As the case continues to unfold, it is evident that Mr. Jakpa is resolute in his approach to handling the matter through legal means. It remains to be seen how the legal proceedings will unfold and what impact they will have on the ongoing ambulance case. We will continue to monitor the developments closely and provide updates as they become available.
