We regret to report the tragic discovery of the lifeless body of a middle-aged market woman earlier today in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The woman, known for her role as a food vendor turned gari seller, was a familiar figure in the community.

It has been revealed that her daily routine included visiting her daughter, who runs a pharmacy, after closing her market stall. Concerns arose when she failed to make her customary visit to her daughter's pharmacy yesterday, and subsequent attempts to reach her by phone went unanswered.

This morning, local residents made the distressing discovery of her body in a bush by the roadside. The incident was swiftly reported to the Oduom Police Station. Upon their arrival at the scene, authorities found her personal belongings, including her phone, GHS800 in cash, and various market-related items. Notably, there were no apparent signs of assault or injury on the body.

The woman's remains have been transferred to the Emena Hospital mortuary for an autopsy, as law enforcement officials continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding her untimely death.

This unfortunate event has deeply saddened the community, and our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time. We urge anyone with information relevant to the investigation to come forward and assist the authorities in their efforts to uncover the truth behind this tragic loss.
