Four Arrested Following Deadly Shooting in Nyankpala, Northern Region

Nyankpala, Northern Region – The Ghana Police Service has announced the arrest of four individuals in connection with a shooting incident in Nyankpala that resulted in one death and one injury.  The suspects, identified as Majid Issah, Fodi Issiage Kamara, Yakubu Simalia, and Alhaji Bashiru Mohamed, are currently in custody assisting with the investigation. 



 
The incident, which occurred led to the death of one person and injuries to another, who is currently receiving medical treatment. The body of the deceased has been transported to the morgue for preservation and autopsy. 
 
While details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear, reports suggest a potential connection to a heated argument between political figures.

 Eyewitnesses have indicated that the incident stemmed from a dispute, potentially involving the distribution of funds among voters.   However, the police have yet to officially confirm this information.
 
The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway and that further updates will be provided as they become available.  They have urged the community to remain calm and cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
