The Cyber Security Authority (CSA), in collaboration with National Security operatives, has apprehended 32 Nigerian nationals during a targeted early morning operation at Kasoa–Tuba, marking a significant step in intensified efforts to clamp down on cybercrime in the country.
The coordinated raid yielded substantial evidence, with authorities seizing 31 laptops and 15 mobile phones—all suspected to be tools employed in cyber-related criminal activities. The devices have been forwarded for forensic examination to support ongoing investigations, while the suspects are currently in custody and assisting investigators with inquiries.
According to the CSA, the operation forms an integral part of its broader, sustained campaign to disrupt cybercrime networks and safeguard Ghana’s digital ecosystem. The Authority reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to working closely with security agencies to combat cyber-enabled offences across all regions of the country.
In a call to action, the CSA urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious cyber-related activities through designated appropriate channels. The Authority emphasized that public cooperation remains critical to strengthening efforts to protect Ghana’s digital space and ensure the safety of citizens in an increasingly connected world.
