We have received reports of a disturbing incident at Awutu Winton Senior High School, where two individuals were apprehended for allegedly robbing students. The suspects were caught in the act and subsequently subjected to physical violence by the students before being handed over to the Awutu Bereku District Police Command.

The incident took place during a football match at the school, where the suspects took advantage of the commotion to target individuals who had moved away from the main group. It is reported that they laid in wait in a nearby bush to carry out their criminal activities.

Fortunately, their actions were noticed by other students who raised the alarm, leading to the apprehension of the suspects. It is important to note that while the suspects were subjected to beatings by the students, the intervention of the police officers prevented further escalation of the situation.

Currently, the suspects are in critical condition and are under police monitoring. They will be facing the full consequences of the law for their alleged actions.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and collective responsibility in ensuring the safety and security of our school communities. We commend the students for their alertness and quick action in apprehending the suspects, and we trust that the authorities will handle the situation with due process and fairness.

We urge all members of the school community to remain vigilant and cooperative with law enforcement agencies to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Together, we can ensure a safe and secure environment for learning and personal development.
