Mr. Dzah has been ordered to either pay a fine of GHC 720.00 or face a six-week imprisonment term. This ruling comes as a result of Mr. Dzah driving without a valid license and negligently causing damage.

It is reported that Mr. Dzah pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him and was subsequently convicted based on his own admission of guilt.

According to the proceedings at the Court presided over by Mrs. Ama Adomako-Kwakye, the incident took place on February 15, 2024, at approximately 1330 hours. Mr. Dzah was driving a Nissan HARD BODY PICK-UP with registration number GT 3129 Y along the Cantonments Road, from Danquah Circle towards the Togo Embassy direction. It was stated that Mr. Dzah failed to exercise due diligence on the road and consequently collided with the rear portion of a Land Rover with registration number GS 3673-Z, which had come to a stop due to traffic congestion. The Land Rover was being driven by a Mr. Aderesob Anthony.

Further investigation revealed that Mr. Dzah was driving without a valid license at the time of the incident. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, although both vehicles sustained damage as a result of the collision.

Following thorough investigations, Mr. Dzah was charged with driving without a valid license and negligently causing damage, as presented by Chief Inspector Apewah Achana.

This ruling serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and ensuring that one possesses a valid driver's license while operating a motor vehicle. It also underscores the legal consequences that may arise from negligent driving behavior.

As we reflect on this case, it is imperative for all individuals to prioritize road safety and compliance with relevant laws and regulations to prevent avoidable accidents and legal repercussions.
