In a move towards greater accessibility and efficiency, the Judicial Service, under the leadership of Her Ladyship Cyra Pamela C. A Koranteng, is embracing technological reforms. A recent directive from the Judicial Secretary instructs court registrars to refrain from publishing inactive cases in newspapers. Instead, these cases will now be made available to the public, including parties and their lawyers, through the Judicial Service website (www.judicial.gov.gh).

A circular dated March 21, 2024, issued by the Office of the Justice Secretary, outlined the new approach and urged all relevant personnel to cease newspaper publication of inactive cases. The circular emphasized the creation of a dedicated webpage for Registrar Summons Search under 'e-Services,' allowing registrars across the country to publish inactive cases on the website.

This strategic shift not only enhances accessibility for the general public but also represents a cost-saving measure for the Judicial Service, eliminating the need to publish inactive cases in newspapers. Parties and lawyers are now directed to utilize the 'Registrars Summons' tab on the website to determine the status of their cases.

Furthermore, this initiative aligns with the Judicial Service's commitment to embracing technology and modernizing its operations. By leveraging digital platforms, the service aims to revolutionize its business practices and improve both internal and external interactions.

This proactive approach underscores the Judicial Service's dedication to enhancing transparency, accessibility, and efficiency within the judicial system. As these technological advancements continue to unfold, it is clear that the service is steadfast in its pursuit of delivering justice in a manner that is responsive to the evolving needs of its stakeholders.
