We have received reports that the vehicles of the district chief executive (DCE) and the Coordinating Director for the Chereponi district in the North East region have been impounded by a high court in Nalerigu.

This development stems from a court ruling in favor of a contractor who had completed work for the district but had not received payment from the Assembly.

As a result, the vehicles in question have been parked at the Chereponi district Police station.

It is essential for all parties involved to adhere to legal and contractual obligations, and we hope that a resolution can be reached swiftly and amicably.

We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as they become available.
