We are deeply disturbed by the recent events that have shaken the community in the Krobo area. The apprehension of 35-year-old Richard Tetteh in connection with the murders of three women has sent shockwaves through the region.
According to reports, Tetteh's heinous acts were allegedly carried out at the behest of a chop bar operator who intended to use parts of the victims for ritualistic purposes. Tetteh confessed to authorities that he was assigned the task of extracting foam and a mysterious liquid from the women's private parts, for which he was promised GHC500 per victim.
The details of Tetteh's actions are nothing short of gruesome, and it is chilling to think that such atrocities took place in different locations over a period of several weeks. The first victim met her tragic fate in Otorkporlu on February 2, 2024, while the other two fell victim to Tetteh's sinister deeds in Nuaso Ogyam Aklomuase and Sekesua within the initial weeks of April.
With Tetteh now in police custody, the community is left reeling from the horror of these ritualistic slayings. There is a palpable sense of unease as we await justice to be served in the impending trial.
It is crucial for the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that all those involved in these abhorrent crimes are brought to justice. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.
We hope that the legal process will provide some semblance of closure for the community as we come to terms with this tragic and senseless loss of life.
