A tragic incident occurred in the farming community of Yabram, near Dambai in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region, resulting in the loss of life and several injuries. A misunderstanding among some Fulani herdsmen escalated into violent machete clashes, leading to the death of Abdulrahman Abdulai and leaving others with serious machete wounds.

The victims, identified as Ibraima Jibo, Mahamudu Iko, and Lasi Mahamudu Iko, were promptly taken to the Dambai Health Centre and E.P Church Dan Moser Memorial Clinic for urgent medical treatment. Mr. Philip Kwadwo Bidaba, the Assembly member of Kwame-Akura East Electoral Area, confirmed the incident and highlighted that the altercation stemmed from a herder's intoxication on hard drugs, which resulted in the inability to lead the animals to graze.

Upon receiving a distress call, Mr. Bidaba intervened to prevent further bloodshed and arranged for the injured to be transported to medical facilities. Regrettably, despite efforts to save lives, one individual was pronounced dead upon arrival at the health center.

The Ghana News Agency (GNA) followed up on the incident and observed one of the victims responding to treatment at the Dambai Health Centre. Additionally, checks at E.P Dan Moser Clinic revealed that two victims were receiving treatment, with one under police protection at the facility. Mr. Victor Kwame, the second in command at E.P Clinic, provided assurance that the victims were responding well to treatment and were out of danger.

When contacted, the Police Command did not provide any information apart from confirming their presence at the clinic. Furthermore, the deceased has been transferred to the WoraWora Government Hospital morgue for preservation.

This unfortunate event serves as a stark reminder of the need for peaceful conflict resolution and the avoidance of violence. Our thoughts are with the affected individuals and their families during this difficult time. We hope for the swift recovery of those injured and urge for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
