We regret to report a tragic incident that occurred in Numeriso near Jacobu in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region. A 28-year-old man, Kwadwo Oppong, was fatally shot by his cousin, identified as Adam Fuseini, who is currently on the run and being pursued by the police in the area.

According to a police situational report, the suspect used a single-barrel gun to perpetrate the crime before fleeing the scene. Despite being rushed to Numeriso Health Center and subsequently referred to AGA Hospital, Obuasi for further treatment, the victim succumbed to his injuries upon arrival and was pronounced dead by the medical officer.

The deceased's body has been deposited at the morgue of the same hospital for preservation and autopsy purposes. Meanwhile, police investigators have reason to believe that the suspect may be hiding in Bawku in the Upper East Region. They are urging the public to come forward with any information that may aid in his apprehension.

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the need for community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement authorities. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Kwadwo Oppong during this difficult time. We hope for swift justice to be served in this matter.
