We are deeply saddened to report on a tragic incident that occurred in Yerepemso, a small community in the Bia West district of the Western North Region. A man known as Nii, who resides in Kasoa, Central Region, is currently in police custody for the fatal attack on his girlfriend, Afia Patricia.
Reports indicate that Nii tracked down his former partner, Afia Patricia, to Yerepemso where he committed the heinous crime. Afia, who lived in Yerepemso with her mother, had left Kasoa, where she and Nii had been residing for several months.
The unfortunate incident took place on Monday, February 19th, when Afia went to clean the church she attended in the evening. Nii followed her and tragically inflicted fatal cutlass wounds upon her. It is reported that the couple had experienced disagreements prior to Afia's decision to leave Kasoa and live with her mother in the village.
