We have been following the case of Mark Forson, the houseboy accused of the murder of Dr. Christopher Adu Boahen, son of the late Professor Albert Adu Boahen. The latest development in this case is that the Kaneshie District hearing, scheduled to address the matter, did not proceed as planned, resulting in an adjournment to May 9, 2024.



Mark Forson, who is facing provisional charges of murder, had his plea preserved by the court during the hearing. The prosecution presented the case, indicating that the complainant is a surgeon at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and a friend of the deceased Dr. Christopher Adu Boahen. It was revealed that the accused, Mark Forson, was employed as the houseboy of the deceased individual.


The prosecution narrated that on February 11, 2024, the complainant visited his friend's home and upon arrival, noticed an unusual smell emanating from the premises. Upon further investigation, the complainant discovered the deceased lying on his bed, deceased. Subsequently, the matter was reported to the East Legon Police Station.


Further details from the prosecution revealed that upon police intervention at the scene, the deceased was found with a rope around his neck, indicating possible foul play. The body was then taken to the Police Hospital Morgue for autopsy and preservation.


On March 14, 2024, Mark Forson was arrested in connection with the murder of Dr. Christopher Adu Boahen. The prosecution informed that investigations are ongoing.
