The Ahafo Regional Police Command has officially declared Adinam Yussif a wanted individual in connection with an ongoing investigation into the illegal possession of firearms in Goaso. This announcement follows the arrest of three suspects linked to the case.
In a statement provided to ADOM NEWS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) James Annor, the Ahafo Regional Police Commander, detailed recent developments in the investigation. According to DCOP Annor, law enforcement officers apprehended three individuals—Johnson Mawutor, Kelvin Ofori, and Mawuli Dogba—on the Ayomso-Goaso road. The suspects were found in possession of firearms during the arrest. Upon interrogation, the detained individuals identified Mohammed Yussif, also known as Adinam Yussif, as a fourth accomplice involved in the case.
The police have since intensified their efforts to locate and apprehend Adinam Yussif. DCOP Annor disclosed that the seized firearms, which include AK-47 assault rifles, pistols, and ammunition, were traced to Techiman in the Bono East Region. This discovery underscores the gravity of the case and highlights the need for swift action to prevent further criminal activities.
In his address, DCOP Annor reassured residents of the Ahafo Region of the police force’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in the area.
