The trial of Daniel Asiedu, also known as Sexy Don Don, for the alleged murder of the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, has hit a roadblock. The High Court in Accra was informed that the first accused is unable to attend court proceedings due to severe vomiting.

Asiedu, who is standing trial for the murder of the late Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, was expected in court for further cross-examination by his lawyers. However, his absence was explained by officers from the Nsawam Prison, who stated that he was "seriously vomiting" and receiving medical treatment.

Due to the present situation of the first accused, the court has waived the scheduled date for the trial and adjourned the case to March 18, 2024.

It is important to note that Asiedu has pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder and robbery. Alongside Vincent Bossu, also known as Junior Agogo, he has also pleaded not guilty to the charge of conspiracy to rob and is currently standing trial while in lawful custody.

The development in this trial underscores the complexities and challenges often encountered in legal proceedings. The court will reconvene on the adjourned date to continue the trial process and ensure that justice is served within the bounds of the law.

As the case unfolds, it will be crucial to closely monitor the proceedings and eventual outcome, as it holds significant implications for all parties involved.
